The construction of Jinjingwan Boulevard's first section is expected to finish by the end of June, the Pingtan Times reported on April 18.

Workers, divided into three shifts every day, are working around the clock.

The first section of Jinjingwan Boulevard links the Nianggong interchange to Xianjian village in Beicuo town, located in the Fujian island county of Pingtan. It will span 2,755 meters and have eight lanes.

Eighty percent of the subgrade has been filled for pavement. Two overpasses across the road have finished their substructures.

A pipeline trench under the section is being built as well. It will be installed with three types of electric cables for high voltage (110 kilovolt, 220 kilovolt) transmission.
