County credit cooperative supports farmers

The Pingnan County Credit Cooperative plans to make loans worth 65 million yuan ($10.5 million) to support local farming this year.

The cooperative said it has lent farmers 38 million yuan so far, accounting for 58 percent of the annual plan. The funds will be used to mainly support farmer purchases of seeds and chemical fertilizer, the cooperative said.
