A total of 276,000 trips, an increase of 34 percent year-on-year, were taken at the Fuzhou Railway Station during the New Year Holiday from Jan 1 and Jan 3.

The travel peak came on the afternoon of Dec 31, morning of Jan 1 and the afternoon of Dec 3, said the Station. Most of the passengers travelled for the purposes of family reunion and tourism.

It extended the time of ticket service to the convenience of passengers and assigned extra staff to maintain orders.

Passengers who have booked tickets initiated G and D, both in reference to high-speed trains, will be able to pass the ticket checking machine using only their ID cards instead of tickets, said the Station.
