英國劍橋大學擬發債券為校內建設項目籌集資金

英國著名學府劍橋大學眼下正在考慮發行債券，以為校內建設項目籌集資金。

劍橋大學財務總監安德魯·里德４日說，校方定于２０１０年內就發行債券一事作出決定。如果最終決定發行，這將是劍橋大學建校８００多年來首次發行債券。

里德說，劍橋大學發行債券金額預計為２億至３億英鎊（約合３．２億至４．８億美元），規模將超過英國其他任何一所大學。按他的說法，發行債券將有助于劍橋大學繼續“在學術及科研領域處于最前沿”。

發行債券籌集到的資金將用于劍橋大學校園內兩個主要建設項目。里德說：“這是相當大的一筆錢，直接向銀行貸款可能不是正確的做法，發行債券也許更合適。”

據相關報道，美國哈佛大學、普林斯頓大學、耶魯大學及斯坦福大學等名校都已通過發行債券的方式籌集資金。
