DRC Vice-President meets with delegation of the Australia-China Belt & Road Initiative

2019-11-01

Wang Yiming, Vice-President of the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), met with a delegation of the Australia-China Belt & Road Initiative (ACBRI), led by Andrew Robb, former Australian Federal Minister for Trade and Investment and former trade envoy, Lindsay Tanner, former Australian Federal Minister for Finance, and Warwick Smith, Chairman of the National Foundation for Australia-China Relations and former Australian Minister for Sport, Regional Services and Local Government on Oct 11, 2019.

Wang talked about the progress and prospects of China's transition to a high-quality development. The two sides exchanged views on changing the economic development mode, promoting rational development and utilization of resources and energy, building a resource-saving and environment-friendly society, and expanding Sino-Australian resource cooperation under the framework of the Belt and Road.

The delegation also included representatives of the Australian Federal Government and state governments, and leaders of Australian mining, energy, agriculture and business industries.
