Zhou Libo, one of the most popular stand-up comedians in China, will perform in Shenzhen and Guangzhou in Guangdong province in June. It is part of his nationwide tour.

Zhou frequently adds humorous asides to subjects such as urban life, economic and political issues. "I never run out of inspirations for my comedies," Zhou says. "I won't have a bottleneck for my creation. My topics catch up with hot-button social issues. All I need to do is to express my interpretation of these issues."

Zhou has created his own style called "Shanghai style small talk". His comedies are delivered in a mixture of Mandarin Chinese, Shanghainese dialect and English. For his show in Guangdong, he will cover topics including Lingnan culture and the reform and opening-up policy.
