The nation's first documentary on the evolution of the automobile industry around the world, will premiere on CCTV-10 at 9:15 pm on Sept 30. It is directed by Zhou Bing, who produced the acclaimed TV series, The Forbidden City.

The crew shooting the 12-episode A Century with Cars visited dozens of auto museums around the world. They also interviewed about 100 auto scholars and designers to talk about the industry's growth over the past century.

The docu includes interviews with the scion of famous auto families such as Jutta Benz, great-grand daughter of Karl Benz, besides the personal stories of such celebrities as German Formula One racing prodigy Michael Schumacher, Chinese best-selling author and rally driver Han Han, and actress Fan Bingbing.
