如果您經(jīng)常看樂(lè)評(píng)或影評(píng)，應(yīng)該不會(huì)對(duì)rave
review（熱情贊揚(yáng)）感到陌生。不過(guò)這次，因?yàn)閯偤迷趭W運(yùn)新聞里看到了它，倒也應(yīng)了我們“時(shí)事熱詞”的景，所以，即時(shí)拎出來(lái)，大家一起學(xué)習(xí)。

quality" organization from the IOC on Thursday at the end of three-day
inspection of preparations for the 2008 Olympic Games.
Hein Verbruggen, head of the IOC's coordination commission for the Beijing
Games, also expressed confidence that the organizers would honor bid commitments
on the environment and media freedom.
報(bào)道中的rave review可以解釋為“高度好評(píng)”。在這里，rave不再是我們?nèi)粘Ｋ?jiàn)的“咆哮、胡言亂語(yǔ)”，而是指an extravagantly
favorable criticism（狂熱贊揚(yáng)），常用來(lái)修飾praise，criticism或review，舉個(gè)例子：The young director
won rave reviews for his film.（那青年導(dǎo)演執(zhí)導(dǎo)的影片贏得了熱烈的好評(píng)。）
另外，rave也可單獨(dú)作為名詞來(lái)指代“熱情贊揚(yáng)”，或用作動(dòng)詞，如上面的例句也可改寫(xiě)為“The young director won raves
for his film”，或者是，“People were raving about the young director's
film”。
