由中國國家副總理吳儀率領的200多名企業高層管理人員組成的采購團于上周二抵達夏威夷，開始了遍及美國13個州的大型采購行程，這也是自1979年中美恢復外交關系以來中國組織的最大的一個采購團，預期將購買數十億美元的波音飛機、汽車零件、電腦軟件、電信器材、谷物及其它產品。

報道中的shopping
spree是一種比喻用法，可以翻譯為“大采購”。Spree在1804年首次出現于蘇格蘭方言寫成的一首詩中，意為“快樂的出游”，后演變為 “an
unrestrained indulgence in or outburst of an activity”（無節制的狂熱行為；狂歡），如：go on the
spree（出去狂歡一番）；另外，spree在俚語中也可指a drinking bout（狂飲，痛飲）。
現在，人們常用spree來形容大采購，如：He was away on a buying
spree.（他出去狂購物了。）
