endowment insurance : 養(yǎng)老保險

12月14日，《國務院關于完善企業(yè)職工基本養(yǎng)老保險制度的決定》發(fā)布實施。我國基本養(yǎng)老保險制度將從十大主要方面予以完善，其中包括確保離退休人員基本養(yǎng)老金按時足額發(fā)放，不得發(fā)生新的基本養(yǎng)老金拖欠等內(nèi)容。
報道如下：China's State Council, or cabinet, has decided to improve the
basic endowment insurance system for enterprise
employees around the country, stressing the necessity of paying the
pension on time and in full.
“養(yǎng)老保險”在中國人的心目中已經(jīng)變得越來越重要，endowment
insurance就是養(yǎng)老保險，pension是“養(yǎng)老金”。報道中的basic endowment insurance
system指的就是“基本養(yǎng)老保險制度”。
在找工作時，出現(xiàn)最頻繁的字眼就是“三險一金”，這個名詞在很多人的心目中已經(jīng)超過了工資待遇。三險是指醫(yī)療保險，養(yǎng)老保險和失業(yè)保險，一金指的是住房公積金。英語中則用medical
care insurance, endowment insurance, unemployment insurance, house
accumulation fund來表達。
