11月22日，德國基民盟領袖安吉拉·默克爾正式宣誓就任二戰后德國第八任總理，她也是德國歷史上首名女總理。外電報道如下：

報道中的abstention指的是“棄權”，abstention from
voting意思就是“棄權不投票”。Abstention有“節制、克制”的意思，比如：abstention from alcoholic
liquors（戒酒）；abstention from exerting
pressures（不施加壓力）。
