Zac Efron rejected Simon Cowell's offer to make him a singing sensation. The 20-year-old actor - who has wowed fans with his vocal talents in the 'High School Musical' film franchise - was reportedly a perfect target for music mogul Simon, who felt he had huge potential as a solo singer.
A source told the National Enquirer magazine: "Simon told Zac, 'With my know-how and your voice, we can make millions.' He also offered to fly Zac to London for negotiations, but Zac turned him down, insisting he wants to concentrate on his movie career."
However, Zac - whose 'High School Musical' co-stars Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale have already released solo albums - is said to have promised to contact Simon if he ever decides to pursue a pop career.
The source added: "Zac told Simon if he ever changes his mind, he would be the first to know."
