據最新報道，根據巴基斯坦當地居民從現場發現的彈片，近日在巴基斯坦傳出死訊的“基地”新任三號人物哈姆扎·拉比耶很可能是被中情局導彈炸死的。
請看外電報道中的這樣一句話：Pakistan hasdeployedthousands of troops in the area, fighting intense battles with militants and killing and capturing several of them.
報道中的deploy指的是“部署；調度”，我們通常所說的“部署（軍隊）”用的就是deploy這個詞。如，to deploy forces to check aggressions（部署軍隊以阻止侵略）。
Deploy還有“施展；利用”的意思，例如，to deploy all the forces of one's genius（施展自己的全部才能）；Efforts must be deployed to bring about a vigorous development in agriculture.（必須大力發展農業。）
