另一種說法是它是由舞臺(tái)產(chǎn)生的。當(dāng)舞臺(tái)上音樂響起的時(shí)候，無論是面對(duì)帶有敵意的、亂起哄的觀眾，還是演員自己由于緊張或怯場而造成的忘詞等尷尬的局面，只要催演員上場的音樂一響，演員就沒有任何選擇的余地，只能去face the music （必須承受出現(xiàn)的局面）；因此對(duì)這些演員來說，聽到“催人上場的音樂”響起時(shí)，只能是“硬著頭皮上”！所以也就是face the music了。
