16 BAIC models take stage at 7th Expo

A total 16 models from four automakers under Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Co Ltd (BAIC) -- Beijing Hyundai, Beiqi Foton, Beijing Jeep and Beijing Auto Works -- have taken the stage at the 7th China Beijing International High-tech Expo.
The Mercedes-Benz E series, which is expected to be produced in China with an investment from Daimler-Chrysler Company, has made its debut at the exhibition, heralding the dawn of homemade Benz sedans.
Also on display are Beijing Jeep's Grand Cherokee, Mitsubishi Pajero, Mitsubishi Outlander and military light cross-country command vehicle.
As the most up-to-date recreational vehicle, the Leichi series by Beijing Auto Works has also been showcased at the expo, although it has not yet appeared on the market.
