Franck Leboeuf, a 1998 France World Cup winner, has announced his retirement at the age of 37.

"I'm finishing, there's no point in making a song and dance about it," said the former Chelsea defender who spent his last two seasons in Qatar.

Leboeuf, capped 50 times by France, played for Strasbourg, Chelsea and Marseille.
