Militants in Iraq are holding about 10 foreigners as well as the South Korean businessman they have threatened to behead, the businessman's company president told Yonhap news agency on Monday.

The militants have made a televised threat to kill Kim Sun-il, an Arabic interpreter, if Seoul does not reverse its decision to send 3,000 troops to Iraq.

Kin Chun-ho, president of the Gana General Trading, told Yonhap from Iraq an employee sent to Falluja to negotiate with the kidnappers had seen about 10 foreigners including at least one European journalist and some people from the KBR engineering and construction unit of U.S. firm Halliburton.
