One more human case of H5N1 confirmed in Vietnam
The World Health Organization (WHO) announced Monday that laboratory tests have confirmed an additional human case of H5N1 infection in Vietnam. The case is a 16-month-old baby girl from Dong Nai Province who has been hospitalized since Feb. 16 in Ho Chi Minh City and remains in stable condition. To date, confirmed human cases of H5N1 have been reported in Vietnam and
Thailand. Vietnam has reported 23 confirmed cases, 15 of them are fatal.
Thailand has reported nine confirmed cases, with seven fatal ones.
