NBA expands All-Star balloting program

The balloting program for the 2004 NBA All-Star Game will expand to include 17 languages on the NBA.com Network, the league announced the decision on Wednesday on its website.

NBA added five more languages compared to last year, offering Arabic, Chinese (simplified), Chinese (traditional), English, French, German, Hebrew, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Serbian, Spanish and Turkish.

"With the return of last year's partners and the addition of new partners and distribution channels, NBA All-Star Balloting will be even more accessible to NBA fans around the world," said Ron Erskine, NBA vice president of Marketing Partnerships.

Fans can vote for the starters of the All-Star Game in several ways, such as In-Arena Ballot, through NBA.com, downloading wireless ballots, or at Circuit City and foot locker and champs sports stores.

NBA All-Star 2004 will take place in Los Angeles for Feb. 9-15.
