Daily SARS reporting system

Shanghai has continued monitoring SARS long after the crisis ebbed.
Currently, 160 medical institutions throughout the city carry out the
reporting procedure every day, according to Jiefang Daily.
Following the recent confirmation of a SARS case in Singapore, the city's
sanitary bureau has been working closely with the Shanghai Export and Import
Inspection and Quarantine Bureau to detect anyone displaying SARS symptoms
entering the city from that country.
To ensure efficiency in SARS control and prevention, the city has worked out
a detailed plan to counter the disease and safeguard health of citizens from
winter through next spring.
