SARS case sparks flu-shot shortage

Guangzhou has run out of children's flu vaccines
following reports of a new SARS case in Singapore last week, reports New Express
News.
Flu shots for adults are still available, but stocks are running low for
those as well, said Du, director of the Guangzhou Disease Control Centre.
Pharmaceutical companies confirmed that orders for flu vaccines have more than
doubled this year.
Beijing, Tianjin and northeastern provinces in China are experiencing similar
shortages.
