Priceline joins HSBC to deliver online travel insurance

Hutchison-Priceline and the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC) joined forces Monday to deliver online travel insurance through Priceline's online travel website for travelers' added convenience.

Travelers who visit priceline.com.hk can get instant approval online for their travel insurance needs, 24 hours a day, either in Chinese or English.

They can also opt to discuss their TravelSurance cover with HSBC representatives before purchasing the insurance.

TravelSurance is designed for all travel choices and destinations. It complements Priceline's Name Your Own Price travel-buying option, which delivers significant savings on airline tickets, hotel rooms and rental cars around the world.

To introduce the new insurance service through Priceline, HSBC is offering a special 10 percent discount on its TravelSurance premiums to all Priceline visitors until 30 September, 2003.

Hutchison-Priceline Travel Ltd was formed with investments from Hutchison Whampoa Ltd in Hong Kong and Priceline.com Inc in the United States.
