Groom dies on wedding day after heavy drinking

Updated: 2009-05-27 09:08 What was supposed to be the happiest day of his life turned out to be his last day on earth for a Taiwanese bridegroom. The man surnamed Wu, 35, an insurance worker, died on his wedding day apparently after downing too much wine and beer. He passed out at home on Saturday after he mingled and drank with 100 guests at a fancy restaurant in Taipei. He was taken to the hospital after his face turned dark and died during treatment.
