Insurance employees licensed

TheChina Insurance Regulatory Commission(CIRC) released the first-quarter license holding statistics for those employed at insurance intermediaries earlier this month.

 

According to the CIRC, as of the end of March of this year, there were 2,193 insurance intermediaries in China, among which 2,120 of them submitted reports to the CIRC. Of the 64,000 people who work for insurance intermediaries, 70 percent of them carry insurance licenses.

 

This quarterly report began in the third quarter of 2005, and the aim is to regulate those license holders in the insurance industry.
