About 30 artists from Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region performed at the gala, including Uygur folk dance Gathering Grapes, Chinese folk dance, acrobatics, Peking opera and dombra music.
The performance on Feb 10 attracted 400 people, among whom are Chinese workers and students in Almaty.
The consulate general also held two photo exhibitions titled "Tempo of China" and "Silk Road-A New Look" at the gala.
