A large number of Chinese immigrants settle in Venezuela
Venezuela is one of the South American countries with the largest number of overseas Chinese, with 400,000 Chinese who were born in or immigrated to the country. The earliest wave of Chinese immigrants started in 1847.
Many Chinese Venezuelans work in the restaurant industry. There are numerous Chinese restaurants throughout the country. It is said that Venezuelans like Cantonese cuisine.
