Metric tons of radioactive metal
Customs officials intercepted 952 metric tons of imported radioactive scrap metal from Japan in Taizhou, Zhejiang province, authorities said on Sunday. The radiation level of the metal was nearly twice the national standard and poses a hazard to the health and the environment, according to Taizhou customs.
