The number of cases that the Party's discipline departments have handled since the CPC Central Committee put forward its "eight measures" in December 2012 to improve work style and get closer to the people. The measures include fewer traffic controls for leaders' security on their trips and no flowers or carpets for government meetings. According to incomplete data, at least 2,290 punishments have been given to Party members who violated the measures.
