"It's hard to avoid the bite-back of the vice of extravagance in the long run. ... We must improve the legal system to ensure power is exercised in the sun and restrict power within the cage of laws."

Qin Xiyan, an adviser to the provincial government of Hunan and a National People's Congress deputy, told China News Service on Wednesday. She suggested that the fight against extravagance be included in the anti-corruption law system.
