Ex-tycoon in bid to reclaim properties

By Wu Yiyao in Shanghai | China Daily | Updated: 2012-11-28 07:17

Wu Ying, an ex-tycoon convicted of illegal fundraising, was back in the media spotlight on Tuesday, as the plaintiff in two civil trials aimed at reclaiming her properties.

The 31-year-old, once considered one of China's richest women, attended the hearing in Zhejiang Women's Prison in Hangzhou, provincial capital of Zhejiang.

Although the trials were off-limits to media, many reporters gathered at the gate of the prison in the hope of getting some information.
