Evonik Industries AG, a German chemical group, will confirm its long-term commitment to developing its business interests in China at the 2009 Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference opening today.

The company is represented at the conference by Dr Klaus Engel, the chairman of its executive board.

Engel says: "Evonik regards China and Asia as key factors in global economic recovery. We are very happy to support and actively participate in this year's Boao annual conference under the theme of 'Managing beyond crisis'."
