Jail guards have been helping a prisoner in Chongqing Municipality lie to his 8-year-old daughter, telling her that he has been studying in university.

Guards have helped Wang Long by even visiting the girl on his behalf, Nanfang Weekend reported.

Fearing that knowing about his imprisonment will hurt the girl, Wang has been telling her that he began his studies seven years ago.
