Chengdu opens seminar on capital market and west development

A seminar titled "capital market and developing the west" was held Saturday in Chengdu to echo the ongoing Western Forum of China, a high-level gathering since China launched the campaign to develop the west last year.
The seminar has attracted a number of important figures in the circles, including Geng Liang, vice-chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, President of the China Development Bank Chen Yuan and top Chinese economists.
The seminar is expected to discuss the role of the stock market in developing the west and other relevant policies.
