Gree Electric Appliances Inc, a Chinese major home appliance manufacturer based in Zhuhai, Guangdong province, reported robust performance on Tuesday, the Double 11 online shopping spree, according to a company source.

The company took 132.5 million yuan ($21.6 million) in online sales, selling more than 47,100 air conditioners, according to the company.

Dong Mingzhu, president of Gree, said the company would develop more services to support online selling in the future.

"We will provide the same services for both online and offline selling," Dong said.
