BEIJING - Su Rong has been removed from his post as vice chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, according to a decision made at a CPPCC meeting Wednesday.

Su is being probed for suspected disciplinary violations, the discipline watchdog of the Communist Party of China (CPC) said in a statement on June 14.
