Twenty-nine medical experts from Sichuan province, Shanghai and Beijing - including eight specializing in ICU and four in psychology - have helped treat people injured in the Kunming terror attack on March 1.

Zhou Hongmei, director of the Medication Reform Office in Yunnan province, said on Monday that more than 1,900 medical staff from five hospitals have performed more than 100 surgeries.

Thirteen ambulances arrived at the Kunming train station within 10 minutes of the March 1 attack and rescued 111 injured people.

There is no record of casualties sent to the hospital, said Zeng Yong, director of the first affiliated hospital of Kunming Medical University.

In the past two days, the number of blood donors was 10 times above normal. By the evening of March 2, about 750 bags of blood have been used, and 2,080 bags were in storage. Another 1,005 bags had been transported by the morning of March 3, said Zhu Xiangming, spokesman for Kunming Blood Center.
