China's giant pandas to settle in Belgium

The Chinese garden at Pairi Daiza, also called "The Dream of Han Wu Di," near Brussels, Belgium, has been open since 2006. It is the largest Chinese garden in Europe, and in addition to its Chinese-themed buildings, waterfalls, rocks, and plants, it is home to cranes and red pandas. China and Belgium signed agreements to work together in breeding giant pandas during a meeting between Premier Li Keqiang and Belgian Prime Minister Elio Di Rupo before the opening of the 7th Summer Davos Forum in Dalian, Northeast China's Liaoning province, on Wednesday, according to Belgian media.

Two giant pandas are to be settled at Pairi Daiza (formerly Paradisio) zoo and botanical garden, 70 kilometers from Brussels, but no details of the agreement have been disclosed.

The zoo started building a Giant Panda House this year, getting ready to welcome the pandas, and a related news conference may be held on Friday.
