China is to strengthen local governments’ management of land reserve and financing projects, aiming to ensure a plentiful supply and rational distribution of land.

On Friday, the Ministry of Land and Resources, Ministry of Finance, the central bank and China Banking Regulatory Commission issued a statement saying the governmental organizations will control the overall scale of local governments’ land reserve and regulate financing of land reservation next year.
