1,480 cases of land grab, demolition handled

BEIJING - Almost 1,500 cases of illegal land appropriation and demolition were handled in the year 2011, and 509 people involved were held accountable, a senior official said on Friday.
Qu Wanxiang, Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Supervision under the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China, put the number of such cases at 1,480.
