Groom finds cheap, green wedding transport

While most young people use luxury Mercedes, BMWs and Audis for their wedding, a man in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province, made a carriage to transport his bride.

He Shidong, a resident in the city, attracted attention when he used a carriage to pick up his bride on a downtown road.
"I've had the idea to have a wedding carriage for a long time and my bride was in favor of the idea," the bridegroom said. "I think using a carriage for a wedding is low-carbon and romantic."
The wedding carriage cost only 3,000 yuan ($463). The bride said she did not feel wronged but happy and moved.
