Thief claims divorce led him to steal motorbikes

Updated: 2009-08-13 14:05 In an odd form of therapy, a man said he developed a habit of stealing vehicles to deal with his depression from a divorce years ago. Since March, the man reportedly stole motorcycles and other vehicles around Shenyang, Liaoning province. He was selling them for bargain prices but police eventually discovered his thefts during an investigation into a related case. During his interrogation, he said that he committed the thefts to alleviate his depression and loneliness from a divorce that happened many years ago. (Shenyang Evening News) |
