Lightning kills farmer's 17 cows on hill

Lightning killed 17 cows of a farmer in Menghai county, Yunnan province, last Friday.

Meng Kang, a resident of Manmai village, said he woke up on Saturday morning and found his cattle, kept in an ox fence on a hill near his house, dead.

He said it meant a loss of at least 40,000 yuan ($5,860).
