Zhengdong New District sees rapid growth

Zhengdong New District is located in the Eastern Putian Group area according to the Zhengzhou city overall planning approved by the State Council. The total plan area is about 150 square kilometers.
It has been divided into 6 functional regions, including Central Business District, Commercial Logistic District, Dragon Lake District, Longzihu District, Science and Technology Park District and Economy and Technology Development District.
Zhengdong New District has achieved the goal of "presenting the initial image in three years" and now stepping forward steadily according to the goal of "enlarging the scale in five years" and "stepping over development".
The construction of 30 high-rise apartment buildings in inner ring of the CBD has been completed.
Zhengzhou International Exhibition Center has undertaken various kinds of large exhibitions since it went into service. More than 10 units chose to locate in the new district and many commercial projects including retailing, wholesale and logistics vied to be the first to open. Some national and provincial projects such as Zhengzhou logistics port of national arterial highways and railway container center station began to construct. Zhengzhou express railway comprehensive communication hub is preparing to start the construction. The construction of the first batch of 6 universities and colleges in Longzihu District has been completed and went into service. Some parts of working area of No.27 Electron Research Institution in Science and Technology Park went into service. The infrastructure and supporting facilities including water, electricity, natural gas, steam heat, communications and so on are being generally improved and the whole image and living and working conditions have got a qualitative leap. A new district with advantages location, distinctive characters and beautiful environment appeared initially.
