Owner of bloodthirsty big dog sued

A Zhuhai resident surnamed Liu recently filed a lawsuit against the owner of
a big black dog that mauled his dog to death, and called for the large dog's
execution.
Liu's dog was attacked and killed by the big black animal when Liu was
walking it last year in a park in Zhuhai. Liu was also bitten in the attack.
Liu took the dog's owner, surnamed Chen, to court after they failed to reach
an agreement on compensation early this month.
Liu asked for medical and spiritual compensation valued at 30,000 yuan
(US$3,750), plus reparations for the murder of his beloved pet.
Zhuhai Xiangzhou District People's Court has accepted the case and is
arranging a public hearing.
