Court okays divorce from mentally-ill hubby

The Liuzhou Intermediate People's Court recently approved a divorce application from a woman surnamed Wei whose husband is seriously mentally ill, in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
But Wei must pay 4,000 yuan (US$500) to her husband surnamed Cheng after the divorce.
Wei married Cheng, a fellow villager in late 2004. He became mentally ill six months later.
Wei returned to her parents' home at the beginning of this year and filed for divorce.
