Mysteriously disappeared planes over the years
A series of instances of disappearance of planes have occurred on the Bermuda Triangle (also called the 'Devil's Triangle'), mostly between 1940s and 1960s. The region, located in the North Atlantic Ocean between Bermuda Islands, Puerto Rico and Florida, has seen the disappearance of a number of aircraft and ships under mysterious circumstances. These include two passenger jets in January and December 1948, carrying 25 and 36 passengers, and another passenger plane with 20 on board in January 1949. [File photo]
