Chinese stocks open lower Friday

BEIJING - Chinese stocks opened lower on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.31 percent to open at 2,046.29.

The Shenzhen Component Index dropped 0.01 percent to open at 8,218.9.
