China's stocks rise to six-month high

BEIJING - Material producers led Chinese shares to climb to a six-month high on Monday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index surging 2.57 percent, or 76.38 points, to close at 3,051.42.
The Shenzhen Component Index climbed 3.85 percent, or 509.22 points, to finish at 13,734.20.
