China, US academies sign cooperation memo

The Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) and the National Academy of Engineering of the United States (NAE) signed a cooperation memo in Beijing on Wednesday.

The two sides agreed to promote further cooperation and exchange in engineering sciences in accordance with respective financial ability and the laws of both countries.

They agreed to send exchange scientists, conduct joint researches and hold seminars particularly on climate change, energy and resources protection.

President of the CAE Xu Kuangdi and President of the NAE Charles M. Vest signed the memo on behalf of both sides.
