Vanke to build shopping mall

China Vanke Corp, the country's largest publicly traded real estate developer, said it signed an agreement with a unit of Singapore's CapitaLand Ltd to build shopping malls in the world's fastest-growing consumer market.
The two companies will develop shopping malls in Vanke's residential projects, Vanke said in a statement to Shenzhen's stock exchange yesterday. The agreement with CapitaLand Retail Ltd, a retail property unit of Singapore's biggest developer by assets, was signed over the weekend.
